Complementary & Alternative Medicine treatments for Diabetes

Now-a-days Alternative Medicines or Complementary Medicines and gaining popularity, because of its curing power with out any side effects.

Diabetes details: Diabetes means your blood glucose is too high. Diabetes is the inability of the body to ‘produce insulin – type 1 diabetes’ or ‘proper use of insulin – type 2 diabetes.

Allopathic medicine Diabetes: In allopathic treatment, they consider and treat everyone in a similar manner and drugs are used for treatments. These drugs are used to stop or block one particular function of an organ. It is not trying to correct the root cause and only gives temporary relief. Also they use only one force (compared to war utilizes land force only) that is the medication for diabetes.

Alternative medicines Diabetes: treatments they consider human as a whole and each human is treated differently for the same disease. They are not only considering the disease alone, but also its causes – physical and mental (psychological) reasons.

Homeopathic remedies diabetes:

For example homeopathic remedy is concern they find the correct remedy by looking for symptoms of:

Main complication Physical symptoms Mental/emotional/psychological symptoms Modalities (when the disease is better and when it is worst) Causation (reason behind the disease – root cause)

Homeopathic remedies for diabetes, different peoples are treated with a different medicine with respect to their individual physical, mental, modalities and causation.

Ayurvedic herbal remedies for diabetes:

It is also called as herbal medicines, herbal therapy, herbal treatment, herbalism and botanical medicines.

The herbal medication is prepared from plants, use medicinal herbs to prevent and treat diseases and ailments or to promote health and healing. Either the dried plant as a whole or a specific part of it (root, leaves, fruit, flowers or seeds) is formulated into suitable preparation. Ayurvedic natural remedies are not only control blood sugar, but at the same time it will take care of kidney, liver, eye and hearts. These are the organs that may be affected by long term of diabetes. Also the carbohydrate metabolism is by liver, kidney, pancreas and small intestine. Thus the herbal medicines correct these organs for proper utilization and elimination of the glucose. That is, it corrects the root cause.

Yoga poses diabetes:

Yoga refers to be the traditional physical and mental disciplines originating in India. It has the ability to balance body, mind & spirit. This discipline has curative power for many chronic diseases that include diabetes, by activating glandular systems responsible for the illness. In the case of diabetes, yoga poses give mild and gentle massages to the internal organs such as pancreas, liver, intestine, etc. These organs are responsible for the diabetes cause.

Acupressure for diabetes:

Accupressure is also called as acupressure or healing touch. TCM relies on a number of basic principles which have been refined over thousands of years of medical practice. One of the major principles of this medical tradition is the idea that health is governed by the flow of life force, or qi, through the body. Interruptions in this flow can lead to medical complaints, as the body’s balance of energy is disrupted. TCM practitioners also believe that disruptions in the flow of qi affect specific organs, and that all symptoms can be linked with a particular organ.

In the case of diabetes many patients have found that has either cured or decreased the severity of their diabetes.

Reflexology for diabetes:

Reflexology massage or zone therapy is particularly a healing art by applying pressure (using the hand, fingers and especially the thumbs). This massage is specifically done to feet, hands and some times even to the ears. It activates the acupoints which are interrelated to the organs in the body.

That is why reflexology massage is showing positive impact on promoting self-healing capabilities on diabetes.

Complementary Medicine:

All the above alternative medicine treatments are also called as complementary medicine. The name “complementary medicine” developed as the two or more systems began to be used alongside (to “complement”) each other.

So if we use all the above said alternative medicines together (used all the medicines at the same time) there is a amazing result because one complements the other;

Homeopathy treats disease by physical, mental, modalities and causation symptoms – human as a whole. Herbal remedies correct the disease by correcting the organ responsible for the disease – this system corrects the function of the organ responsible. Yoga is a physical and mental discipline that gives massage to the internal organ and calms the mind for proper function of the organ. Acupressure is a healing touch which clears the blockage of qi (vital energy) and thus function of the particular organ is normalized. Reflexology is an art of massaging the nerve points connecting with the organ responsible for the disease. If the nerves are stimulated the organ start function normally.

If you use all the above said complementary medicines each works differently, then the chance of cure for the disease is very high.

For example purpose we used to define alternative medicine diabetes, it is not only for diabetes but also for cholesterol, high and low blood pressure, eye problems, etc. I named a few the list is endless.

I personally benefited with alternative medicine such as herbs, homeopathy, yoga, acupressure and reflexology. I like everyone should enjoy that benefit, so I decided to popularize alternative medicine.

Are Alternative Medicines Effective?

A growing number of people have become interested in alternative medicine to treat illnesses. Alternative medicine as a practice has created a significant amount of controversy both inside and outside the traditional medical field. Alternative medicine refers to a treatment or substance that is unproven under the application or accepted scientific standards. The most common types of alternative medicine include herbs, supplements, therapies and activities that are outside traditional medical practice. Some of these raise questions about their safety and effectiveness.

Acupuncture, massage, meditation, herbal tea, and plant extracts are popular among devotees of alternative medicine, but many traditional doctors believe these treatments are ineffective or even dangerous. Alternative medicine has become increasingly popular as more people face the aches, pains, and illnesses that accompany aging. In some cases, individuals have not obtained a cure with traditional medical approaches and turn to other options to treat their illness. In still other cases, people feel very strongly that natural methods of treatment are better than traditional medicine, so they look for answers from alternative practitioners instead of the family doctor.

There are risks associated with alternative medicine. Some of the risks arise through the use of untested, ineffective, and even unsafe substances. The manufacturers of these substances sometimes exaggerate the claims of their effectiveness. They may misrepresent the science related to the material to convince consumers to buy the product, even if its use can endanger a person’s health.

Some herbal remedies are advertised as being able to improve memory, raise metabolism, or cure cancer and heart disease. In reality, the remedies may cause harm if taken at high doses. Another risk is that someone with a serious disease like cancer will not receive traditional and proven treatments, preferring to use alternative methods that may not be effective. In these cases, people are risking their lives. Sometimes, patients may be using alternative treatments, but not telling their doctors about them. This can lead to dangerous drug interactions. If a traditional doctor is unaware of the substance a patient is taking, medications that produce harmful interactions may be unknowingly prescribed.

It is possible to recognize potentially risky alternative treatment. If a treatment sounds too good to be true, it probably is. While this is a cliché, it is often very true in situations involving alternative medicines. Be careful of products labeled ‘miraculous’ or ‘ancient remedy.’ If you are thinking about treatments such as acupuncture or reflexology, check the qualifications of the practitioner before being treated. Ask about the training received, and research the treatment to determine if it has been scientifically tested and found to be effective.

It’s a good idea to ask your doctor about an alternative treatment you are considering. Trained medical professionals have the experience and education to help you make safe decisions about your health.

Alternative Medicine: How to Fight Chronic Disease With Soul Medicine &avoid Invasive Surgery

“I wish I’d researched the alternatives first, Dawson!” moaned my peppy red-haired friend Bill, holding his head despairingly in his hands. “But we just plunged right into surgery and radiation when Janice was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. She became feeble. Her immune system is weak. The treatment almost killed her. It’s been almost two years since she’s been able to eat solid food.”

It broke my friend’s heart to see his wife’s health take a dive headfirst. I could hear it in his voice, and see it in his body language. Just talking about it, brought him to tears.

I sat listening to Bill in silence. I remembered gently suggesting to him two years ago when Janice was first diagnosed that they look at every available treatment option. I warned him the surgery at the very least would constrict his wife’s throat and destroy her sense of taste. I told him that they should research alternative therapies before committing to surgery.

If only Bill knew the power of alternative medicine and therapies, he would never have blindly rushed his wife into the operating room.

The Power of Alternative Medicine and Therapy

According to a new survey, seventy-five percent of Americans now believe that alternative medicine is more effective for certain conditions than conventional medicine.

This belief is based on more than faith. Millions have experienced the power of integrative medicine to treat conditions for which conventional treatments can do little, such as depression, chronic fatigue syndrome, back pain, fibromyalgia, and migraine headaches. And athletes, educators and business executives are discovering that it improves their performance level.

It turns out that your head contains a pharmacopeia of thousands of drugs. Your beliefs, your emotions, your thoughts, your prayers, your visualizations, and your spiritual practice all play a huge role in maintaining your health and wellness.

When you think healthy thoughts and cultivate healthy feelings, your body chemistry changes to support health.

In my book, Soul Medicine (coauthored with neurosurgeon Norm Shealy, M.D., Ph.D.), I list the treatments that trigger positive physical and psychological changes. They are comparatively cheap, and sometimes free. They are often easy and quick, and usually painless.

Here Are My Top 3 Alternative Medicine Treatments to Keep You Physically & Mentally Healthy:

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)– This alternative medicine technique is based on natural gestures that human beings have used for stress relief practically since the beginning of time. EFT is a three-minute routine for touching fourteen specific points in a sequential pattern. This will immediately calm even your most disturbed emotions.
Energy Medicine (EM)– A system for working with your body’s electromagnetic circuits. This alternative medicine and therapy technique will balance your health and wellness. Like moving a magnet through iron filings and seeing the filings alter their shape, even a subtle shift in the electromagnetic field of your body is sufficient to produce significant changes in your cells.
Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT)- This technique helps you identify pressure points on the head that aid in stress relief. While pressing these points gently, think about your stressful situation. For most people, the body will quickly relax and the stressful thoughts will resolve themselves.

By using these technique and others listed in my book, Soul Medicine, you won’t have to sign away control of your future. You won’t get trapped in an endless maze of invasive procedures, as my unfortunate friend and his wife did when she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer.

Bill waited till Janice was at death’s door before he searched for better answers. Luckily, he wasn’t too late. You may not be so lucky.

So if you’re facing a health crisis, check out the alternatives. Even if you’re healthy, find out how you can feel even better, and increase your level of vitality. The practices of soul medicine can lead you to a more vital and happier life.
