How To Improve Your Health By Getting Rid Of These 3 Negative Mood Swings
If laughter is the best medicine, then negative mood swings are the worst poisons. To your health, that is.
Moods and attitudes play a pivotal role in our health. A happy go lucky person tends to be a lot healthier than a moody person. Negative moods can adversely affect your health and slow down your recovery time from diseases and illnesses. How many times have you seen a crouchy, moody person in the pink of health? Not many times, I dare say.
Actually, there are 3 negative moods that can affect your health. If you know these, then you can take steps to prevent or avoid going into these negative mood swings :-
1.) It is a known fact that depressed people take a longer time to recover from illnesses and often develop complications more easily. Depression can hinder the body’s normal healing process. If you are troubled emotionally, do seek professional help before you fall into a depression. It could literally save your life and make life a lot easier for your loved ones as well.
2.) Another mood killer is loneliness. Have you heard of the saying “I feel lonely even though I’m not alone”? Human beings are social creatures so we all need company and social interaction. Everyone needs a good friend, confidant, companion, etc to share life’s ups and downs. If you don’t have a friend, go find one now – even if it is only in cyberspace. Online friends are a great way to relieve boredom and loneliness. Just make sure you don’t go overboard and ignore your real life.
3.) Stress is another enemy of your health. Stress can result in diseases and illnesses like high blood pressure, stomach problems and so on. Money worries, work pressure, children, etc can be very stressful. If you are overly stressed out, it can affect your mood and health negatively. So take time to relax and unwind every now and then. Taking things easy is the way to a better, healthuer lifestyle.
To recap, in order to ensure our good health, we need to negate the effects of our moods and attitudes through moderation and a change of lifestyle. Bad eating habits are mood killers, not instantly, but gradually.
Drinking less coffee, reducing alcohol intake, smoking less can help reduce stress and improve our health. Take a walk in the park, listen to some relaxing music, read a good book, or go to an art gallery. These can also help you improve your mood and health.

Five Things You Can Do Right Now To Improve Your Health
Everyone wants to be in the best health possible. Sleeping well, having lots of energy and living a pain-free life are attainable goals for most of us. Unfortunately, there is so much confusing information available as to how we can be our healthiest, that it’s hard to know where to start. Almost daily we hear about some new drug that can lower cholesterol, balance blood sugar, help you lose weight, decrease your blood pressure, ease your pain, or help whatever health condition you may have. We read about miracle foods, the perfect vitamin, tropical juices, and power drinks that are the answer to all your health concerns
Unfortunately, there is no miracle food and most medications only address the symptoms of disease; they rarely cure. Sure, you may feel better for a while, but more often than not, your symptoms return, or you need to continually take greater amounts of medications to obtain the same effectiveness.
What if there were a way to treat the source of your health problems? To make them go away and never come back. This may sound like a tall order, but it happens every day, and has been happening every day for thousands of years. An effective system of healing has been helping people like you feel their best for centuries. That system of healing is Chinese medicine.
When we think about Chinese medicine, most of us think about acupuncture, which is an important component, but acupuncture isn’t the only thing that Chinese medicine has to offer. The ancient Chinese sages believed that the best way to stay healthy is through lifestyle and proper diet. Even when someone became sick, the first treatment would often be food therapy and lifestyle changes. Only if those measures failed, would they turn to acupuncture and herbs for a cure.
There are a number of life habits and dietary guidelines based on the teachings of Chinese medicine that are available to each of us. The following guidelines are simple enough, but can impact your health dramatically.
1) Eat according to Chinese food theory. Most people who are trying to improve their health give a considerable amount of thought to what they should eat. Unfortunately, as a culture, we tend to label foods as either good or bad, which has us eliminating whole food groups from our diet.
The Chinese look at food in a different way. Rather than getting bogged down in which food is good and which food is bad, they look at digestion as the key to healthy eating. The healthiest food in the world is useless if your digestion is poor.
Think of your digestive process as a pot of soup simmering over a low heat, say 98 degrees, the temperature of our body. If you add a 24 oz. frozen drink or ice cream to that pot of soup, it stops simmering, and it takes a long time for the soup to get back its warmth to continue cooking. The same is true of your digestion. When you eat or drink very cold foods, it slows your digestion and takes a lot of your internal energy to warm it up again. Eating lots of raw vegetables and fruits have a similar effect. Your energy is consumed in the digestive process.
According to Chinese theory, if you “predigest” foods by cooking them a little bit, they will be better digested and as a result, will be more easily absorbed and converted into the nutrients your body needs for good health. Ideal meals include soups, stews, and stir fries.
As for exactly what to eat, you don’t have to look any further than your neighborhood Chinese restaurant for the answer. Eat lots of vegetables, a little protein, a little carbohydrate in the form of whole grains, a little fruit and small amounts of everything else. Drink warm tea or room temperature fluids with your meal.
2) Get moving. If such a thing as the fountain of youth existed, it would probably be in the form of physical activity. The benefits of a regular exercise program are endless, from improved cardiovascular health, better strength and balance, improved immunity, and relief from stress.
According to Chinese theory, moving your body also helps to move energy, which can get blocked, causing pain and illness. There is no one best way to exercise, but in order to avoid overdoing it, try to combine some vigorous movement that makes you breathe hard with one or more of the gentler forms of exercise. Yoga, stretching, Tai Qi, Qi Gong, or simply walking are all considered gentle and relaxing ways to move your body.
3) Get your stress control. There are really only two kinds of emotions: the positive kind that enhance your health, and the negative kind that drain your energy and make you susceptible to illness. The Chinese believe that the emotions are the cause of all internal illnesses. They may have something here, especially when we look at the negative impact of stress on our bodies.
Stress causes chemical reactions in your body, where certain hormones are released that can affect everything from your immune system to your digestion. Inflammatory conditions, arthritis, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and even weight gain can be caused by the hormonal changes brought on by stress.
So how to get a handle on stress? We’re all aware of the many methods, classes and exercises available to relieve stress. However, when you’re overwhelmed with all the things on your “to do” list, one more class or exercise just becomes another stressful thing to do. The good news is that you can benefit from as little as three minutes of some kind of meditation. A couple of simple (and quick) fixes:
-Breathe in by expanding your rib cage and belly to a count of four. Hold to a count of seven and release by flattening your belly towards your spine to a count of eight.
-Visualize yourself in a favorite and relaxing place, which can be real or imagined. Spend a few minutes filling in all the details: what you see in every direction, sounds, smells, etc. By doing this, your brain releases the same “feel good” chemicals as if you were actually in that place.
4) Preserve your Essence. In Chinese medicine, your health and the length of your life is determined by something called Essence, or your essential life force. The strength of your Essence is determined by a combination of genetics, your physical constitution, and lifestyle.
One of the smartest ways to stay healthy is to preserve your Essence by living wisely, and not becoming run down. Some of the ways you deplete your Essence is by overworking, not eating well, skimping on the sleep, and trying to do too many things. Also considered depleting is too much partying, having too many children and having sex too often.
Wise living means getting enough sleep to rejuvenate your body. It means working, but not too hard. Exercising too much, studying and long hours in front of a computer screen are also considered overworking. Eating adequate amounts of the right kinds of food (see above) also protect your Essence.
5) Explore Acupuncture. Acupuncture is an ancient healing system that originated in China thousands of years ago and is still successfully in practice today. It works by addressing the source of your health problem–not just by relieving symptoms. Acupuncture works by balancing energy within your body, which may sound out there and new age. However, every cell in your body produces energy in the form of ATP. The Chinese just operate on the premise that your energy moves in pathways throughout your body. When people become ill or have pain, it’s because that energy is blocked in some way or it’s depleted. The goal of acupuncture it to restore or maintain health by unblocking or increasing the flow of energy.
The World Health Organization has identified over sixty health conditions that acupuncture can treat, from pain to mental health conditions to digestive problems. In addition, acupuncture is a great way to maintain your good health, too. Give it a try!

13 Healthy Habits to Improve your Life, Part 1
There are 13 ways to boost your chances of living a happy, healthy life. More can be added to this list, but, for simplicity’s sake, we’ll stick with this typically unlucky number. Instead of bringing misfortune, however, the 13 habits promise a life of vigor and vivacity.
There are, of course, no guarantees, but many of the practices mentioned here have been published in scientific journals. Disregard them, and you may well be taking a big gamble with your mental and emotional well-being.
Healthy Habit No. 1: Eat Breakfast Every Morning
Breakfast eaters are champions of good health. Research shows people who have a morning meal tend to take in more vitamins and minerals, and less fat and cholesterol. The result is often a leaner body, lower cholesterol count, and less chance of overeating.
“That one act [of eating breakfast] seems to make a difference in people’s overall weight,” says Melinda Johnson, RD, a spokeswoman for the American Dietetic Association (ADA). She says breakfast can hold off hunger pangs until lunchtime and make high-calorie vending machine options less enticing.
Not only that, researchers at the 2003 American Heart Association conference reported that breakfast eaters are significantly less likely to be obese and get diabetes compared with nonbreakfast eaters.
Another study in the International Journal of Food Science and Nutrition showed that people who consumed breakfast cereal every day reported feeling better both physically and mentally than those who rarely ate cereal in the morning. For kids, breakfast appears to enhance alertness, attention, and performance on standardized achievement tests, reports the ADA.
To get the full benefits of breakfast, the Mayo Clinic recommends a meal with carbohydrates, protein, and a small amount of fat. They say that because no single food gives you all of the nutrients you need, eating a variety of foods is essential to good health.
Yet, even with so much scientific support that breakfast does the body good; many people still make excuses not to eat in the morning. They include not having enough time and not feeling hungry. For these people, Johnson suggests tailoring breakfast to the day.
“When I’m getting ready in the morning, I don’t really want to take the time to eat breakfast because that would mean sacrificing sleep,” says Johnson. “So I bring my breakfast with me, and I know I have an hour when I’m reading emails in the office when I can eat it. By that time, I’m hungry because I’ve been up for almost a couple of hours.”
Healthy Habit No. 2: Add Fish and Omega-3 Fatty Acids to Your Diet
The AHA recommends a serving of fish two times per week.
Besides being a good source of protein and a food relatively low in the bad type of dietary fat called saturated fat, fish has omega-3 fatty acids — which have been shown to reduce the risk of heart disease.
Fatty fish such as mackerel, lake trout, herring, sardines, albacore tuna, and salmon, are rich in two kinds of omega-3 fatty acids: eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).
Foods such as tofu, soybeans, canola, walnuts, flaxseed, and their oils contain alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which convert to omega-3 in the body. Even though the benefits of ALA are controversial, the AHA still recommends foods containing it as part of a healthy diet.
In addition to their heart-health benefits, there is some evidence that omega-3 fatty acids may also soothe an overactive immune system, says Johnson. Even though this benefit is still being studied, she says there appears to be a link between getting more omega-3s in your diet and reducing allergies, asthma, eczema, and autoimmune disorders.
Healthy Habit No. 3: Get Enough Sleep
“Your body has to have enough time to rest,” says Michael Fleming, MD, president of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). Otherwise, he says you may find yourself feeling cranky and tired.
This may sound like common sense, but according to the National Sleep Foundation (NSF), more than two-thirds of older adults suffer from sleep problems and many American adults don’t get the minimum amount of shuteye needed to stay alert.
Sleep is vital to good health and to mental and emotional well-being. The NSF reports that people who don’t get enough slumber are more likely than others to develop psychiatric problems and to use health care services. Plus, sleep deprivation can negatively affect memory, learning, and logical reasoning.
Not enough ZZZs can also be hazardous. More than one-half of adult drivers — some 100 million people — say they have driven drowsy in the past year, according to NSF polls. About one out of five of these drivers — 32 million people — say they’ve fallen asleep while driving.
Each year drowsy driving causes more than 100,000 car crashes, 1,500 deaths, and tens of thousands of injuries, reports the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The NSF recommends taking a 15 to 20 minute nap. Because it takes about 30 minutes for the caffeine to work, taking a nap while you wait for the caffeine to kick in can help restore alertness.
To avoid the pitfalls of insufficient sleep, make sure to get at least seven to 10 hours of slumber each night. Kids need more sleep, depending on their age.
Healthy Habit No. 4: Make Social Connections
Volunteer. Go to church. Join a club. Whatever you do, do it with people. Communal activities are good for your physical and mental health, according to a study published in the March/April 2004 issue of the American Journal of Health Behavior.
It makes sense, says C. David Jenkins, PhD, author of Building Better Health: A Handbook of Behavioral Change. He says social ties have many benefits, including:
* Providing information. You may think for instance your frequent nosebleeds, coughing, and sneezing episodes are trivial, but when a close friend or relative hears of it, he or she may encourage you to go to a doctor. If the symptoms turn out to be a serious condition, the social tie could have saved your life.
* Instrumental help. Friends and family can provide physical support in time of need. They may help with cooking, cleaning, running errands, doing grocery shopping, and driving to the doctor’s office.
* Emotional support. Sharing a problem with a trusted person can help alleviate an internal burden. “It’s a load off your chest,” says Jenkins.
* Offering a sense of belonging. This feeling not only helps reinforce a person’s identity, it also assists in preventing and overcoming depression and anxiety.
Community ties also help improve mental functioning, says Fleming. Group activities can help keep the mind active and maintain desirable levels of serotonin — the brain chemical associated with mood. “Lack of social interaction will [decrease] serotonin levels,” says Fleming.
Healthy Habit No. 5: Exercise for Better Health
We already know that physical activity has a bounty of benefits, which makes it so puzzling why so many people just don’t do it. According to the CDC, more than 60% of Americans do not get regular exercise.
In case you needed an incentive, here is a review of the advantages of exercise, per the National Cancer Institute:
* Helps control weight
* Maintains healthy bones, muscles, and joints
* Reduces risk of developing high blood pressure and diabetes
* Promotes psychological well-being
* Reduces risk of death from heart disease
* Reduces risk of premature death
Studies have also shown a link between exercise and a reduced risk of certain cancers.
Besides its long-term effects, moving your body has immediate benefits, says Cedric Bryant, chief exercise physiologist for the American Council on Exercise. The short-term results of exercise include helping people to think and move better, manage stress, improve mood, and get an energy boost.
The excuses that people often give to not exercise are the precise reasons to exercise, says Bryant. People who say they are too tired or don’t have time to workout don’t realize that exercise gives people more energy and allows them to be more productive with the rest of their time.
Healthy Habit No. 6: Practice Good Dental Hygiene
Flossing your teeth every day could add 6.4 years to your life, according to Michael Roizen, MD, author of RealAge. In his book, Roizen lists flossing as one of the most important daily activities — along with exercise and quitting smoking — that could extend life span.
Roizen’s calculation may raise some eyebrows, but the idea that oral health is connected to overall health isn’t far-fetched.
The mouth, after all, is an integral part of the body. “Teeth have a blood supply, and that blood supply comes from the heart,” says Richard Price, DMD, consumer advisor for the American Dental Association (ADA).
Researchers suspect that the bacteria that produce dental plaque enter the bloodstream. They say these bacteria are somehow associated with the inflammation that occurs with plaque that blocks blood vessels and causes heart disease.
Other researchers have found links between oral bacteria and stroke, diabetes, and the birth of preterm babies and those that have low birth weight.
In addition to preventing disease, flossing and brushing can help keep your pearly whites intact for more than just cosmetic reasons. Teeth help you chew food, speak properly, and smile — which, according to Price, can help you keep your dignity.

Tips to Improve Your Health and Your Life
In this day and age more people are looking for the magic solution for improving their health and life. Hoping there will be a magic potion to make everything better. If it was that easy, everybody would be in tip top shape and their life would be as blissful as they wanted it to be.
Unfortunately, life does not work that way. There are potions and pills people can take to help improve health over all, but we still have to do other things to help things along. We do have to put in some effort though and sometimes that can be a little daunting.
Exercise is among the most important things we can do for our health. Moving our bodies for at least 30 minutes a day will help to keep our heart strong, keep our weight stable, fight against certain diseases and help us to live a long prosperous life. Adding weight training to our routine will help build and maintain muscle tone, therefore, keeping our metabolism at an optimal level.
Having good muscle tone helps us to burn calories at a higher rate and keep excess weight at bay. Carrying extra weight can add to the risk of some disease and make us feel tired and weak. We may not be able to perform the daily tasks as easily as we would if we were fit. Exercise improves energy and self esteem so we can be productive in our lives and our families lives.
Eating a healthy diet of fruit, vegetables, lean protein, and whole grains is also a very important part of a healthy life. Eating several small meals a day will help keep the energy levels on an even keel throughout the day. Avoid the mid afternoon crash by eating every few hours and keeping it light and healthy. If it is hard to eat that often you may want to consider adding a protein shake to your daily food regimen.
Some people find it helpful to add dietary supplements into their diet. Taking vitamin and mineral supplements can help to fill the gap when our diets are not giving us one hundred percent of the recommended daily allowance. They can help us to feel more energetic and alert, and may help reduce the risk of certain diseases.
Another important factor to consider and which seems to get overlooked the most is to keep stress at bay. Take time for yourself to relax and refocus and just enjoy your life. Try to improve areas in your life that are causing the stress. This can include lightening your work load or getting someone to help out. Maybe just getting out with your significant other for time alone will give you a much needed break from the day to day stresses at home. Meditation can also be a good way to distress.
In order to improve your health and your life we have to take steps into our own hands and make decisions that are healthy and safe for us and our family. Keep a daily food, exercise and stress journal to track your progress and to see where improvement can be made.

Improve Your Health
Life force or spiritual energy is everywhere in everything.Energy is the fundamental unit of all existence. Energy is activity, a subtle and powerful animating force. Energy flows through each of us and to each of us. On the physical level, it flows through our spinal chords and nervous systems as electrical impulses. Thoughts are energetic in nature. Emotions are energetic in nature. Energy is not purely physical in nature. All creation is energetic. Throughout human existence, many cultures have a name for this concept of universal energy. It is known as prana, qi, reiki, odic force, the soul, just to name a few. Conventional technology can not accurately measure energy because of its abstract nature. Wikpedia offers the following definition: “In New Age terminology, energy means various kinds of spiritual forces, often related to the concept of life. It is sometimes explained in terms of electromagnetism, Odic force, karma etc.” Life force or spiritual energy is everywhere in everything.
From an energetic perspective, all illnesses are created by energetic blockages. When illness occurs, energy is not flowing freely and openly. There are different levels of energetic flow in every person. These levels are interconnected and an imbalance on one level can impact other levels. All life conditions affect one or more of the energetic levels. These levels are; the physical, the mental, the emotional, the psychological, the psychic and the spiritual. The physical level relates to the body and biological systems. This is the level most people are very familiar with because imbalances on this level show up as illness and physical pains. The mental level relates to the mind and thought processes. What is going on in the mind can weaken or strengthen the body. The emotional level pertains to how the emotions impact well being. A positive emotional outlook has a positive impact on the mind and body. The psychological level concerns deeper ingrained mental patterns and beliefs. The psychic level relates to forces that are non physical like ESP, intuition and telepathy. The spiritual level relates to the life force that runs to and through all levels of existence.
Each of these levels affects personal life conditions and the levels have interrelated influences. Physical health, happiness, personal relationships and prosperity are influenced by energetic balance or imbalance on all the levels. A person can have a physical symptom (such as low back pain) that is related to an emotional imbalance (such as worry about finances.) To be in a state of perfect health, it is important to be in a state of energetic balance. We all desire perfect health. Perfect health is the way we are intended to be and the way our bodies naturally function. In order to be healthy, we need to look at ourselves as energetic beings and understand that we need to create and maintain balance on all of our energetic levels to stay healthy. We need to act healthy, think healthy, love being healthy, believe in health, feel health in the deepest levels of our beings, and recognize and honor that we are spiritual beings in physical form.
When energetic imbalance occurs and symptoms arise, recognize that taking medication may release the physical symptoms, but unless you investigate the root(s) of what is happening, the energetic blockage(s) may still be there. How have you been feeling? What have you been thinking about? How has your life been going overall? Our society has become very specialized. For physical problems, you see a doctor, who may refer you to a medical specialist. For emotional upset, you see a therapist, counselor, or psychiatrist. If you are in spiritual crisis, the specialist is a minister, priest, or rabbi. Few people recognize that we are whole energetic beings and when one part goes askew, others usually go askew. Restoring the energetic flow on all levels through identifying and releasing energetic blockages is the way to move into balance. There are several different healing approaches that work to balance energetic flow, Reiki, acupuncture, reflexology and therapeutic touch are just a few of the modalities that work by balancing energy. Whatever modality is used, getting to the root causes of energetic blockages is important to reestablish healthy energetic flow. This does not always need to be done on a conscious level. It can work on a much deeper level of your being.
If a situation in your life is causing you pain, you play a role in your own healing. Professional healers can assist in your healing process, but ultimately your healing is in your hands. You choose who to go to for help. You create your thoughts and emotions about the situation. So many people turn over their care to specialists, surrender to them and worry about the outcome. True healing (not just release of the current symptoms) comes about when you do the self work. What is the self work? Recognize that you create your life situations. You make the choices in your life. It is important to understand yourself. Accept responsibility for everything in you think, feel and do. Make changes if necessary. Change your way of thinking if that’s what it takes for you to heal. But first, you must be in touch with your thought processes. Be in touch with your emotions and the way you feel. Take responsibility. Life doesn’t just happen to you as a series of circumstances and incidents. No one makes you feel, think or act in a certain way. Other people can only influence you if you allow them to. You create your thoughts, your emotions and your beliefs. You create your own energetic blockages. You can release the blockages. Start releasing your blockages right now. Become aware of your thoughts. When you are thinking negative thoughts, recognize what you are doing and choose to redirect your thoughts in a positive direction. If you are feeling depressed, or sad, or angry and are uncomfortable feeling that way, recognize your emotion. This is the first step. Then, affirm to yourself that you choose to create peaceful harmonious emotions. Awareness is the key to change. You cannot change that which you are not aware of. Start with observing yourself. This is the first step in self awareness and ultimately it will lead to you taking charge of your life. Observe how you are feeling and what you are thinking. Acknowledge how you feel and what you are thinking as your creations. Redirect your thoughts and emotions to where you want to be. This is not optimistically ignoring things and being in denial. This is acceptance and change. You can be healthy and happy.

Master the Skill of Stress Management to Improve Your Health & Wellbeing!
Stress always goes hand in hand with health. Depending to the stress level of a person, the impact of stress in the body can range from minor sweaty palms right through to being fatal and causing death. In order to manage stress and health better, you must first be familiar with the severe effects of stress in the body.
*Physical & Behavioral Signs Of Stress*
Stressors can be either external or internal. External stressors involve situations in the workplace, death or illness in the family, or by simply becoming angry. On the other hand, most of the stress that people experience is self-generated or internal. A person usually creates his or her own stress but this indicates that the person has the choice or doing nothing or something about it.
Your major body systems are all affected by stress.
When a person feels stressed, there will be an increase in heart rate, and an elevation in the blood pressure levels. The continuous pressure in the heart can also make a person vulnerable to cardiac arrest and other cardiac-related problems.
The digestive system is also affected when you are stressed. Some people can experience diarrhea, constipation, vomiting, dryness of the mouth and the throat. Stress may also cause sleeping disorders, nausea and in some cases even a tightness of the chest, neck, jaw and the back muscles. You may also experience tooth grinding.
Often there are also changes in behavioral patterns noticeable in a person experiencing chronic levels of stress. Smokers normally experience an increase in smoking patterns. Aggressive behaviors and hostility towards others and even inanimate objects are sometimes linked to a person being easily startled. A person?s diet can also be affected by the irregular eating habits caused by stress.
Some people who cannot handle stress unfortunately resort to increased levels of alcohol and drug use. Additionally, unhealthy compulsive behavior, impatience and carelessness are also the behavioral effects of stress.
* Long Term Implications of poor stress management *
Long term stress in your life will badly affect your health and wellbeing overall. During stress the body produces hormones that enable the body to cope with the current situation. Short term effects of adrenaline, noradrenaline, and corticosteroids include tense muscles, queasiness and an in increase in breathing and heart rates.
The long term implications of these hormones include allergic reactions, digestive disorder, heart disease, fatigue headaches and migraine. Even some cases of impotence and premature ejaculation can occur in men or erratic menstrual cycles for some women. When the body continuously releases these hormones your sleeping patterns can also be affected and can sometimes lead to chronic insomnia. With severe cases of stress, it can cause eczema, ulcerative colitis, mouth and peptic ulcers and recurring muscular aches and pains.
* Healthy Lifestyle to reduce stress levels in your life *
How a person identifies stress is important to their overall health. When the stress becomes too much to handle, the damage to their physical and mental well-being can be irreversible. Living a healthy life can help a person cope with stress easily.
* Tips for Better Managing Your Stress *
Although a build up of stress can result in major risks, it can also be a positive catalyst for change in your life. Do not let stress accumulate without making the necessary lifestyle changes, otherwise the result can be fatal. By recognizing the stressors, you can put each of them in place and deal with them one by one. Remember that stress can be a healthy signal that you need to make some positive changes in your life, and that now is the best time to make decisions.
* Breathing And Relaxing to Control Stress *
Oxygen is obviously very important to the body. Taking a deep breath adds oxygen to the system, which can help you relax.
Take a short walk in some fresh air, go get a glass a glass of filtered water and do something that can change your focus onto something positive. Try smiling and take a short moment focusing on something else other than your problem. Watch some funny videos before you start your day or listen to comedy audio tapes when you drive in traffic. Clutter should be eliminated from all areas of the home, even closets, bathrooms, garages, and attics. Not only should clutter be absent, but all items throughout the house should be neatly arranged in a fashion that is appealing to the eyes and promotes positive perceptions. A room in your home that can be a focal point for Feng Shui and health is your bathroom. The bathroom is associated with an area of dead chi, which can be reduced by incorporating living things such as plants or crystals into the room. Using bright colors in the bathroom can also reduce the affects of dead chi. One thing to be aware of is the arrangement of your bathroom door in relation to your bedroom. If the door is directly across from the bedroom, be sure to keep the door shut as much as possible. By separating this room from the rest of your house, you can prevent bad chi. Other ways to separate rooms are to use curtains or screens.
